Golden Route is a discussion space for importers, export agents and small freight operators. Threads, route notes and customs commentary are shared for information only. Nothing posted here is a customs ruling, a binding freight quote or a substitute for a licensed broker's advice on a specific consignment.
Accounts
You are responsible for what you publish under your account. Keep threads on topic: groupage decisions, SAD 500 paperwork, Durban berthing, Walvis Bay transit times and carrier reviews. Do not post false depot contacts, scraped rate sheets presented as your own, or content that misleads other members about clearance outcomes.
Liability
Advice from members is shared in good faith but without warranty. We are not liable for demurrage, detention, storage or missed delivery windows that follow from acting on a forum reply. Verify tariff headings, insurance cover and carrier terms with your own broker, underwriter or forwarder before you commit cargo.
Content
We may edit, move or remove a thread that breaks these rules, and we may suspend an account that keeps reposting the same promotional content across lanes. Removal is not a refund event and does not cancel any obligation you already took on with a counterparty you met here.
Changes
These terms can change as the forum grows or as customs practice shifts. The current version is always the one published on this page, and continued posting after an update means you accept the revised wording. Material changes will be flagged in a pinned thread so regular members see them.
